In many ways Stock Italy represents the emotional heart of the Stock Spirits Group. It was in Trieste in 1884 that Lionello Stock was first inspired to produce fine liqueurs and spirits and began the process of innovation that continues to this day.
Realising Italian grapes were being shipped to France to be turned into (French!) ‘cognac’, Lionello saw the opportunity to add value himself. He created Cognac Stock Medicinal which eventually became Stock 84 brandy, the flagship brand and mainstay of his Company for many years.
Since those humble beginnings and despite the disruption of two world wars, Stock Italy has continued to innovate. Keglevich vodka was introduced in 1963 and is now flourishing as Keglevich Classic Dry and has a wide range of fruit-favoured variants. More recently the limoncello Limoncè has become a successful brand in a traditionally artisan category.
Stock Italy now offers a wide range of proprietary and non-proprietary brands including brandy, vodka, grappa, liqueurs, vermouths and cocktail base mixes together with still and sparkling wines.
