POLAND / STOCK POLSKA SP. Z O.O.
Stock Spirits Group’s operation in Poland has a history of more than 100 years, dating to the time when Emil Plage built his first Lubelska factory in Lublin, 150km south-east of Warsaw.
Vodka is Poland’s national drink and, with quality products, the business thrived despite its chequered history of ownership, including nationalisation in the late 1940s and absorption into the state monopoly, Polmos, in 1973.
After the fall of communism in 1989 the company was privatised and, eventually, purchased by Oaktree Capital Management who brought it into the Stock Spirits Group in 2007.
Stock Polska (formerly known as Polmos Lublin) is currently Poland’s largest producer of vodka. Its flagship brand, Wódka Żołądkowa Gorzka, is Poland’s leading flavoured vodka and its regular vodka variant, Czysta de Luxe, is the no.1 clear vodka brand in the market.
